Hello, everyone!
Welcome, everyone, to our family's blog. I've been doing blogs this semester with my students and finally realized that I should practice what I preach and put one up for our family. Whether or not I will remember to update it is yet to be seen...
I will try to keep this site up with family news and pictures. If you want to know how to do any of this, please drop me a line!
So, what's up with us?
Brighton: Turned 2 at the beginning of August. He is still the sweetest little guy you've ever met. He's still accident prone - incurring at least one minor injury everywhere we go. Luckily, he heals quickly. He's been spending most of his days at a babysitter's house since I went back to work, but he seems to like it. He's REALLY into trains and cars right now and is in heaven since we bought a g-scale Union Pacific a couple of weeks ago.
Katy: Started 1st grade on August 22nd. She complained to me the other day, "Mom, I thought first grade was supposed to be hard! I want it to be hard!" She is an excellent reader and mathematician and is working on writing (she's really getting good!). Her favorite things to learn are science and singing. We are waiting to hear when her Signing Time episodes will be on PBS, so we'll post it when we know! Looks like you can already order them online: http://www.signingtime.com/index.php?cPath=58.
Suzy: Started working full-time as a lecturer at Utah Valley State College in the middle of August and LOVES it! I am teaching seven classes and working on my dissertation and it's absolute insanity, but I'm really enjoying it. You can check out some of what we're doing in my classes at the following websites:

Ryan: Is still working at Novell as a Senior Software Engineer. Loves working with India! He's busily working on the suspending tracks for our train. He's done such a great job of taking care of Brighton and getting him to the babysitter's every morning!
